Scholarships for LLM/MPhil at University of Pretoria: Students who are citizens of African nations and who are interested in pursuing a full-time LLM or MPhil degree in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa (HRDA) at the University of Pretoria may submit an application in order to be considered for scholarships to support the costs of this program.

Full scholarships, which will cover at the very least the costs of tuition, housing, and official program activities, will be given out, although this will depend on the amount of money that is available.

Eligibility:

All applicants need to be citizens of African countries and have a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB, licence en droit, or licenciatura em direito) or an honors degree in a subject related to democratization and human rights.

Applicants are required to have a demonstrated professional, academic, and personal interest in and commitment to human rights and democratization in Africa. Additionally, applicants should have a high likelihood of putting the qualification to good use in their future careers, preferably in the nation in which they were born.

They are required to have distinguished academic credentials. Women and members of underrepresented groups such as those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, as well as people who are disabled, are especially urged to submit an application.
