Memo of Understanding Meaning-Memo of understanding is one of the most effective ways to reach agreement between two parties. It can also be used to pass information within an organization.

If there’s any message the company want to pass across to it’s employees, they may decide to write an internal memo through the Human Resources Department in respect to the particular message they want to pass across.

Memo of Understanding Meaning

A memo of understanding can serve as a formal agreement between two or more people with no legal binding. The agreement is formal, both parties agrees to work with a unified effort in order to achieve a single goal.

Memo of understanding can be seen as the starting point for negotiations as it defines the scope and purpose of the contracts. Such memo of understanding are normally seen in international agreement and negotiations or business dealings such as merger talks.

Memo of Understanding can sometimes be used as a disciplinary measures to employees, reminding them of what the company’s policy says about misconduct.

Kindly be informed that an express instruction has been issued from GM’s office to all staff that from henceforth on arrival to the office reception, you MUST sign the attendance register before proceeding to your office.
