University of British Columbia in Canada

Level/Field of study:

Eligible undergraduate degrees offered by UBC

Number of Awards:

Approximately 50 distributed across 4 awards

Target group:

International students

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

Your level of financial hardship will determine how much of a monetary benefit you receive from the Karen McKellin Award for an International Leader of Tomorrow.

The sum of your annual financial contribution, less the amount that you and your family are able to contribute toward your education and living expenses, is used to calculate your level of financial need. A standard needs assessment will consider the facts regarding your family’s finances that you and your family offer.

If you maintain a satisfactory academic standing in your faculty, continue to demonstrate financial need, and keep your Canadian study permit, your award may be renewed for up to three further years of undergraduate study, or until you have completed your degree, whichever comes first (student visa).
